HEALTH TIPS IN UGANDA


There is nothing worse than being sick in a foreign country and it is does not make a gross of what may be a client’s “once in lifetime” Other than vaccinations that may be necessary to travel, there are other that should be recommended to people visiting tropical regions in Asia, Africa and South America. They probably need to protect themselves against diseases such as viral hepatitis, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, tetanus, typhoid, and rabies, especially if a stay outside urban areas is intended. Travelers are best advised to leave with their medical profession to make such recommendation.

A non-infection but very troublesome disease and it does exist in many parts of the world. The world Health organization makes a recommendation to take a prophylactic against this.
The travel agents in Uganda intend to are in position to give intending travelers advice on general health matters to ensure a trouble-free holiday in the country. Some a gents include such information with the final documentation so that travelers can read it and take due note. The type of information that can assist is often published by the health authorities for distribution and includes the following
Food and drinks
• Steering clearly uncooked food like salads
• Take cooked for and not reheat
• A void exotic looking foods
• Should not take tap water if not sure
• For fresh milk it should be pasteurized
• Not to be adventurous with unfamiliar food

Sexually transmitted diseases: These are passed on by sexual intercourse and are common throughout the world especially in big cities. These serious and resistant to normal treatment. If plans exist to become sexually involved on overseas trips, remember that sexually transmitted diseases including (HIV AIDS) are far from being trivial, they can do you permanent harm. If you are aware of any risk, a doctor of STDs contact clinic immediately.

High altitudes: Places of high altitudes, though on trouble to most people, may cause some problems if you have a heart or lung condition. Talk to your doctor a bout this for advice.

How to keep health in the air

Food – eat lightly and don’t hesitate to skip a meal if you are not hungry. I t will not be easy most airlines ply you with tempting food every few hours – but you will feel more comfortable if you cant overeat.
Drinks – should take a lot of drinks in areas with low humidity but should go easy on alcohol
Exercise – sitting for long periods slows blood circulation there should have movement around the lounges

Sleep – At night loosen tight clothing, but keep your safety belt fastened over your blanket
Colds – Should get medical advice incase of heavy cold during the flight
Air sickness – on today’s large intentional jets airsickness is rarely a problem, but if you are worried a bout feeling off- color take an anti- air sickness tablets 30 minutes an hour before the flight is due to leave.

Stopovers – Remember an important part of stopovers is to help you rest and adopt to change time zones, so don’t go over board on the sightseeing.

Clothing and footwear: It is always useful to carry a small First aid kit with your containing things you want handily such as :
• Soluble aspirin or paracetamol tablets
• A few adhesive dressing
• Insect recepellent
• Antacid tablets
• Sleeping tablets and anti-diarrhoea tablets
• Phenylephrine nasal spray ( to unblock you ears as well as the nose )
